Almost one in three social media users has experienced account blocking at one point or another. And the reason isn't always justified by the social media administrator..

Absolutely any content deemed "inappropriate" or "in violation of the terms of service" can be blocked. (Especially if you've crossed your competitors and they've ordered dozens of complaints against your page.)

So, you are at risk if:

1. Selling tobacco products or electronic cigarettes, bongs, rolling papers, vaporizers and other similar devices.

2. Alcohol. In some countries, the sale of alcoholic beverages is permitted, but there are age restrictions. However, there's no guarantee that an account with collectible wines won't be blocked.

3. Selling or advertising any drugs, supplements, substances, or products deemed unsafe by Facebook. This includes, for example, human growth hormones, ephedra, and anabolic steroids.

4. Selling self-defense equipment, pepper spray, and paintball guns. Fireworks fall under the category of explosives—they are also prohibited from being sold on social media.

5. Adult products and services. The entire sex industry, including sex shops, is prohibited. This also includes 18+ dating services.

6. Prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, and online pharmacies. Only prescription drug manufacturers, online pharmacies, and telemedicine service providers may sell prescription drugs.

Here you can also find sales and advertising of dietary supplements, financial and insurance products and services, gambling, cryptocurrency, and much, much more..

Who is to blame and what to do?

Whatever happens, remember—there are no hopeless situations. Even if your accounts containing hundreds of products and, most importantly, personal correspondence with dozens of your regular customers were blocked.
